Add a client first

Every invoice is linked to a client. If you haven't added one yet, do that first.

  1. Go to Clients → New client
  2. Enter their business name, email, and billing address
  3. Optionally add their tax ID and payment terms
  4. Save

Connect a payment provider

ClientsPlace supports Stripe and PayPal. You can enable both or just one.

  1. Go to Settings → Payments
  2. Click "Connect Stripe" or "Connect PayPal"
  3. Follow the OAuth flow to link your account
  4. Set your default provider
Tip: Stripe has lower fees for cards; PayPal covers more countries. Enabling both gives your clients the choice.

Create the invoice

  1. Go to Invoices → New invoice
  2. Pick the client
  3. Add line items (description, quantity, unit price, tax)
  4. Set a due date
  5. Add notes or payment terms at the bottom
  6. Preview before sending

Send it

Click "Send". The client receives an email with a secure payment link. They can pay with card, ACH, or PayPal depending on what you've connected. You'll get an automatic notification when they pay.

Track payment

Invoice status updates in real time: Sent → Viewed → Paid. If an invoice becomes overdue, ClientsPlace can automatically send reminder emails on your behalf (configurable in Settings → Reminders).
